The self-publishing site CreateSpace helped me format my covers. Personally, I put a little of my personality in the majority of the main protagonist, and antagonist.įiona: To craft your works, do you have to travel? Before or during the process? It happens to most writers because we don’t want our stories to come off as a knockoff.įiona: How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life? Also, the infamous writer’s block would creep up on me. My editor and my little sister have told me I need to work on my sentencing structure. The original title was “The Fairy Squad Princesses: Embark on the Magical Journey.”įiona: Do you have a specific writing style? Is there anything about your style or genre that you find particularly challenging? As for “A Magical Awakening” it was added after one of my friends/readers suggested I’d make the title shorter. The main group consists of four fairies, and they just happen to be princesses. I wanted to create a series that wasn’t just inspired by the shows I grew up loving as a child, but in a sense, I wanted to also pay homage to the authors/cartoonist before me.įiona: How did you come up with the title? I graduated from Los Angeles Southwest Community College last year, and will be attending California StateUniversity Long Beach on August 27th, 2018 to further my art skills. I discovered my love for painting my sophomore of high school.
