The original title was “The Fairy Squad Princesses: Embark on the Magical Journey.”įiona: Do you have a specific writing style? Is there anything about your style or genre that you find particularly challenging? As for “A Magical Awakening” it was added after one of my friends/readers suggested I’d make the title shorter. The main group consists of four fairies, and they just happen to be princesses. I wanted to create a series that wasn’t just inspired by the shows I grew up loving as a child, but in a sense, I wanted to also pay homage to the authors/cartoonist before me.įiona: How did you come up with the title? It might sound cliché but I’ve always considered myself a writer, but I just wasn’t a published one.įiona: What inspired you to write your first book?
